Before you start

Two passwords. One backup key. Here's why.

Your account password signs you into NestVault. Forget it? We reset it via email — standard stuff.

Your vault password encrypts your data. We never see it, never store it, and cannot reset it. It's what makes your vault truly private.

At the end of setup, we'll give you a recovery code — a one-time backup key to store somewhere safe like a fireproof box or password manager. You'll never need it unless you forget your vault password.

That's it. Two passwords in daily life. One backup key in a safe place.

Step 1 of 4

Create your account

Your email and password secure your account. Your vault contents are encrypted separately.

Your vault is encrypted on your device. We never see your data.

Please accept the Terms of Service to continue.
Step 2 of 4

Set your vault password

This encrypts your vault contents. NestVault cannot read or recover it.

This is different from your account password. Your vault password is the key that encrypts all your financial data. It never leaves your device. If you lose it, your vault data cannot be recovered, not even by us.
Spaces allowed. The longer the better. Write it somewhere safe — we cannot recover it. Minimum 8 characters.
Step 3 of 4

Save your recovery code

One last step — write down your recovery code and store it somewhere safe. You'll only need it if you ever forget your vault password.

This code is never stored on our servers. Keep it alongside your vault password in a safe place — if you lose both, your vault data can't be recovered.
Your recovery code
Generating…
Good to know: Plan to confirm your email and first log in on this device. If you log in from a different device first, a new recovery code will be generated and this one will no longer work.

Suggested places to store it: a fireproof safe, a safety deposit box, a sealed envelope with your estate documents, or a password manager separate from this account.
