Two passwords. One backup key. Here's why.
Your account password signs you into NestVault. Forget it? We reset it via email — standard stuff.
Your vault password encrypts your data. We never see it, never store it, and cannot reset it. It's what makes your vault truly private.
At the end of setup, we'll give you a recovery code — a one-time backup key to store somewhere safe like a fireproof box or password manager. You'll never need it unless you forget your vault password.
That's it. Two passwords in daily life. One backup key in a safe place.
Create your account
Your email and password secure your account. Your vault contents are encrypted separately.
Your vault is encrypted on your device. We never see your data.
Set your vault password
This encrypts your vault contents. NestVault cannot read or recover it.
Save your recovery code
One last step — write down your recovery code and store it somewhere safe. You'll only need it if you ever forget your vault password.
Suggested places to store it: a fireproof safe, a safety deposit box, a sealed envelope with your estate documents, or a password manager separate from this account.
