FAMILY MEMBERS
Give trusted family members access to your vault. Each person gets their own NestVault login and unlocks the vault with the vault password you share with them directly — they see the entire vault. To keep a specific entry private, use the “Share with” control inside that entry’s Add/Edit form.
No family members yet.
BENEFICIARIES
Designate who receives full control of your vault if something happens to you. Beneficiaries cannot see this section or know they are listed — they are only contacted after a verified claim.
How to prepare your beneficiary →
No beneficiaries designated yet. Add one below.
Beneficiaries cannot see this tab or know they are designated. This information is never shared with family members who have vault access.
When a beneficiary submits a claim at mynestvault.com/claim, they upload a death certificate and government-issued ID. NestVault reviews the documents manually within 48 hours. If approved, the beneficiary receives a link to set up their own vault password and take full control of the vault.
Primary beneficiaries are contacted first. Contingent beneficiaries are only contacted if the primary beneficiary is unable to claim.
Your vault password should be stored somewhere your beneficiary can find it — in a sealed letter with your attorney, in your estate documents, or in a location you share with your executor.

VAULT SECURITY
Vault password
Change the password that unlocks your vault. Your recovery code is unchanged.
Recovery code
Generate a new recovery code if you suspect the old one was seen, lost, or stored somewhere you no longer control. The old code stops working immediately.
Zero-knowledge encryption. Both operations re-wrap your encryption key entirely in your browser. NestVault never sees your password or your recovery code in any form we can read.

Quick answers
Contact us
Have a question not covered here? Send us a message and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
Family members get full access to the entire vault. They sign in with their own account and unlock the vault with the vault password you share with them directly.
Edit Profile
Changing your email will send a confirmation link to the new address. Your email will only update after you click that link.
Are you sure you want to cancel?
Your subscription will be cancelled at the end of your current billing period, and billing stops there. You'll keep full access until then. Your vault data is retained for 90 days after cancellation — resubscribe within that window and full access is restored. After 90 days, your data may be permanently deleted.
One-time upgrade · required
Enable password recovery
We're upgrading your vault to a new encryption format that lets you recover access if you ever forget your vault password. After this, you'll get a recovery code to save somewhere safe.
This upgrade runs entirely in your browser. Your data is re-encrypted client-side under a new key. NestVault still cannot read it. Takes 10–30 seconds depending on vault size.
Re-encrypting your vault…
Decrypting existing sections and re-encrypting under your new key.
Step 2 of 2 — save this code
Save your recovery code
If you ever forget your vault password, this code is the only way to recover access. Save it somewhere physically safe before continuing.
NestVault cannot recover this code. If you lose both your vault password AND this code, your encrypted data is permanently inaccessible — even to us.
Your recovery code
Doesn't match the last 6 characters above.
Upgrade failed
We couldn't complete the upgrade
Your vault data is unchanged. You can retry, or sign out and try again later.
Change vault password
Your recovery code is not affected by this change. Your vault contents are not re-encrypted — only the key wrapping changes.
Family members will need the new password to unlock the vault — share it with them directly. And if your vault password is stored with your estate documents, update them too.
Generate a new recovery code?
This invalidates your current recovery code. Anyone holding the old code will no longer be able to use it. Your vault password is unchanged.
Do this if you think your code was seen by someone else, lost, or stored somewhere you no longer control.
Save your new recovery code
Your old recovery code is no longer valid. Save this new one somewhere physically safe.
